ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hala Elbarmil is a senior at George Mason University (GMU), majoring in Communication, concentrating in Media Production and Criticism, and minoring in Film and Media Studies. She has a keen passion for wildlife and conservation. Hala formerly worked for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) as a Junior Tech Representative, and currently works at Clean Fairfax Council as a Communication Coordinator. Furthermore, Hala is a member of the Green Patriots at GMU and a NWF Eco Leader. She is collaborating with local non-profit bike stores to create an up-cycling project during Earth Month in April.
